The food was so flavorful and sweet. I had the Chicken Pabellon bowl and the plantains mixed with the fresh green and rice was so refreshing. The chicken was moist and flavorful as well. The ladies who work there are so sweet. I’m definitely going back to try the whole menu

Blown away by the amazingly delicious food! We tried the chicken pabellon bowl and both spicy beef/cheese and pork arepas. Everything was super flavorful. Will definitely be returning for more!

Updated Review: Tried this place again about a year later and it was much better! Arepas were very tasty, and I enjoyed them immensely. I think they are much better at the restaurant than they are for takeout. Original Review: Sadly, this place was not my favorite. I love Venezuelan food, so I had high hopes. I'm not sure if we just went on an off day, but there were some major issues. The arepa shells were rock hard. I had a really hard time biting into them. I'm guessing this batch was just overcooked, but it was disappointing. There was also so much filling for the tiny arepa shell it was quite difficult to eat. The tequenas were good, but I wish they came with more sauce. All in all it wasn't terrible, but I probably wouldn't go back.

Ridiculously tasty with great flavor and texture combination, between 7-11 for a decent amount of food (7 arepa won't fill you up). They have ample indoor and outdoor seating with bars next to it if you want to have a drink with it. Service is also pretty quick. I got the pabellon (national dish of Venezuela) chicken, which was pulled chicken with incredible flavor, black beans and fried plantains, both pairing really well with the chicken. Definitely recommend it strongly.

Mar 2024: Spot inside the Brewery. The food is very filling and with a nice veggie option. Very flavorful veggie bowl with magical green sauce and the arepa with plantains and cheese was fire. 5/5. They give this free hot sauce thats vinegary and spicy-like buffalo sauce, not my thing but you may like it.

This extraordinary piece of Venezuela attracts a beautifully diverse demographic while tucked away in the heart of Somerville, Massachusetts, within the entertaining Aeronaut Brewery. The lovely and talented owner, Carolina, prepares the most authentic Venezuelan cuisine you will find. Succulent and savory, decadent and delicious are only a few words that describe the menu here. She also offers gluten free, vegan, and meat lover options. The chefs are charming and delightful preparing tasty treats while the crowd laughs over an amusing game of trivia. Apex highly recommends stopping in and trying a renowned rice bowl, enticing arepas, and tempting taquenos! This is time and money well spent!

This amazing hole-in-the-wall has been one of the highlights of restaurants we have tried in the Cambridge, MA area; from their fun, savory handheld arepas to their hearty bowls. We heard about this restaurant by word of mouth, and I can see why. This restaurant is tucked away in a corner of the town and down an obscure road that no one would find. This unexpected hidden gem is well worth your time! We ordered the Pelua (spiced beef cheese) and Pork Pico de Gallo Arepas as well as the Pork Pabellon bowl. The Arepas were fantastic! The beef cheese arepa satisfied those salty/meaty/cheesy cravings while the pork pico de gallo was more refreshing. We loved both of them so much. For people who don’t know what an arepa is, it is like a taco sandwich (analogies won’t do this description justice, just try it). With either pork or beef sandwiched between a cornmeal “bun”, the arepa is a fantastic and fun dish that I think people will enjoy! The bowl was a surprisingly large amount of food for the price, certainly a great deal for all the ingredients included, and had all the same flavors as the arepas. While it was also excellent, we definitely preferred the arepas and will order more of them in the future. We loved the artistic and relaxed vibe of the courtyard and will certainly return in the future. It is an excellent place to visit with friends and family or on a date! This place is a hidden restaurant wonder and we highly recommend it!!
